Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) solutions company Airbility has won the Excellence Award at the “Challenge! K-Startup 2024” Grand Finals, the largest startup competition in South Korea.
“Challenge! K-Startup” is a government-backed startup competition jointly organized by ten government ministries, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. This year, a total of 6,238 teams participated, and the Grand Finals, held at COEX on December 12, featured the most innovative teams that had advanced through multiple rounds of rigorous evaluation. During the final pitch session, Airbility impressed the judges with its innovative and differentiated eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) solutions, receiving high praise for its technological advancements.
Following its Grand Prize win at the “Gyeonggi Startup Competition” in September, this latest achievement at “Challenge! K-Startup” further solidifies Airbility’s technological prowess and business potential.
Airbility specializes in fixed-wing-based eVTOL technology and a proprietary distributed electric fanjet propulsion system, offering AAM solutions applicable to logistics, surveillance and reconnaissance, defense, and other industries. The company is actively working on technological development and business expansion with the goal of entering the global market.
